St Andrew's Hospital is proud to announce the 2024 intake for our Perioperative Nurse Program is now open for applications. This carefully designed program is relevant for either Registered Nurses (RN's) or Enrolled Nurses (EN's) who have at least 3 years acute clinical experience - and who wish to hone skills and specialise in scrub & scout / theatre nursing.
How does the program work?
This Perioperative Nursing Program is an important part of our workforce strategy as we hire, train and retain the best in the business. It ensures we hire for talent and attitude and skill, and ensures we continue to provide the very best care and service for our patients.
The content and approach for training utilises competency-based tools developed by our Clinical Educators. These senior experience educators ensure nurses receive ongoing support, education & professional development on their journey.
We have a structured competency framework that gives you both the theoretical knowledge and the hands-on practical experience to feel confident in the complex area of perioperative nursing.
